Terms of Service

By inviting, adding, or using the LabyChecker Discord bot ("bot", "service") in any Discord server or direct message, you ("user", "administrator") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use or invite the bot.

1. Description of Service

LabyChecker provides Minecraft account verification, laby.net social account linking, automated Discord server nickname synchronization, auto-role assignments, Minecraft server info unfurling, and multi-network last seen lookups.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

When using LabyChecker, you agree that you will NOT:

• Attempt to abuse, exploit, spam, or overload the bot's slash commands or backend infrastructure.
• Use the bot to bypass Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit vulnerabilities, or manipulate API requests.
• Use automated scripts to mass-query public endpoints or trigger artificial load.

3. Server Administrator Responsibilities & Role Hierarchy

Server administrators configuring LabyChecker via /settings acknowledge and agree to the following operational guidelines:

• Bot Permissions: The bot requires appropriate Discord permissions (e.g. Manage Nicknames and Manage Roles) to execute automated nickname and role synchronization.
• Role Hierarchy Guidelines: Due to Discord's role hierarchy system, the bot's highest role must be placed above the roles of members it manages in Discord Server Settings. Discord restricts bots from modifying the server owner or members with equal/higher roles.
• Configuration Changes: Disabling settings stops future enforcement but does not retroactively remove existing roles or nicknames.

4. Availability & Disclaimer of Warranties

LabyChecker is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, zero latency, or error-free operation. We depend on third-party APIs (including Mojang, laby.net, and public Minecraft server networks) which may experience independent downtime.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developers or maintainers of LabyChecker be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the bot, including but not limited to loss of server configuration, third-party API changes, or Discord permission issues.

6. Termination & Removal

We reserve the right to restrict access or terminate bot access to any user or Discord server that violates these Terms of Service, engages in abuse, or attempts to disrupt the service.
